Good boy Toby

Toby is not a typical beagle (he is very picky about food). He does love to sleep on his favorite blankets. We can't even touch him while he sleeps because he will growl at us and show his teeth. Looks like he and Ely will be good buds.

Trial run at home

Charlie first rode on the stroller. Toby then did a "please" and wanted to ride too.

Sleep Ely!!

Last night, Ely woke up every two hours again. I hope he sleeps 4-5 hours now since he is 6 weeks old now. He slept 4 hours two times this week. :) Ely is looking at our faces as if he knows who we are. He also smiles more often. We went to Ely's daycare and the babies there looked so much bigger. A 4 month old looked like a little giant. Can't believe Ely will get that big in just a couple of months.

Feed me! Feed me!

Sung was wondering what Ely does when he burps Ely. Here is Ely wanting more food.

Ely is growing!

At one month, Ely is:
9lbs 3 oz (25-50%)
21.5" (50%)
15.5" head circumference (75%)

We're looking for to the next couple of months when Ely will recognize our faces and smile at us. :)

Due to sleep depreviation:
I've texted a friend and held up the phone to "call" them instead of sending the text message. I then forgot why I was calling...and soon realized that I meant to send them the text message.

I let Charlie outside for potty break and forgot about him. I finally looked outside and realized that he had been outside for about 30 minutes. Opps!

Ely is one month old!

How can time fly by so fast? It's already been a whole month!

Updates:
*Ely is about 9.5 lbs. He has also gotten quite tall.
*Eats a ton. He is going through growth spurts almost everyday (we think). Sometimes it happens overnight. As I hand Ely over to Sung for diaper changes during the night, I can notice that Ely gets heavier and heavier as the night progresses.
*Only as a baby can one get away with flipping someone a birdie. Ely somehow managed to show daddy his middle finger while daddy was feeding him. We thought it was sooo cute (forgot to take picture of it -_-).
*We've retired some newborn outfits. Sung's favorite baseball onesie has been retired.

What we're thankful for:
*Ely sleeps through everything, even through Toby's howling and Charlie's barking.
*He is healthy and gaining weight. We're waiting for him to get nice and plump. He is working on his chubby cheeks. :_)
*Smiling - it doesn't happen often so it's a nice present when we do catch him smiling.
*Not crying his head off.
*Toby and Charlie love Ely. Charlie likes to check up on Ely whenever Ely cries.

I see you now!

Updates:
  • Today, Ely turned his head to look at Sung for the first time.
  • During tummy time, he turned his head from one side to the other. Hopefully Ely's neck will get stronger soon.
  • Ely outgrew the basket I had made for him and graduated to a real moses basket.
  • We slept for 3 1/2 hours one night. Leading up to it, we had a 2 hour eating marathon. Ely ate sooooo much, we thought his tummy was going to explode. Most nights, Ely sleeps for 2 hours. It's almost like he has an internal alarm that goes off.
  • Ely learned how to eat from a bottle and suck on a pacifier.
